A study by Lighting Research Center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute found that the light emitted from tech gadgets actually suppresses melatonin production in the brain.

Melatonin is the main sleep hormone for your body, so when you don’t have enough of it being produced you will suffer sleep complications.

Sleeping for less than the recommended 7-8 hours is damaging your weight loss progress, according to this study conducted by Annals of Internal Medicine.

The study notes that lack of sleep can actually slow down weight loss, and participants who slept only 5.5 hours had less fat loss and lost more lean body mass than those who slept 8.5 hours.
