Before we get started we have to understand what is the purpose of keto and how keto burns fat.

On a standard Keto diet, the body naturally produces ketones when in a metabolic state of ketosis by metabolizing your fats in the liver.

This is triggered when the body has burned through its storage of glycogen and begins to utilize fat for energy.

Despite the claims, consuming exogenous ketones alone does not automatically put you into a ketogenic state.

I will repeat despite marketing efforts exogenous ketones will NOT put you into ketosis.

This is actually just adding more work for the body, as it prioritizes Exogenous Ketones over utilizing your own fat and turning it into your own endogenous ketones as an energy source.

Endogenous ketones are when it is created inside your body and exogenous is when you take it as a supplement.

Yes, that means that exogenous ketones can actually set you back in your weight loss goals and prevent you from burning fat at least short term.

Another problem with taking exogenous ketones is when you measure your ketone level in your blood you’ll see that you are into ketosis which only fools people because, in order to get into ketosis your body, your liver has to produce ketones and not just get it from the supplements.
