Hey, In today’s video we are going to be talking about Does Black Coffee Break Intermittent Fasting and what benefits and how it can enhance our fast.
Black coffee actually speeds up autophagy.
That means your body can actually recycle old, sick and dead cells so you clean yourself up sort of speak and this is really really cool.
But how coffee helps us with that?
There’s actually a study that was published in the journal βCell cycleβ that found that the polyphenols in coffee whether it was decaf or caffeinated actually encouraged cells to recycle and go through autophagy much more so than those that didn’t have coffee.
Now, we know that we have big increases in adrenaline during the fasting which is required for fat loss to occur.
So when we’re fasting adrenaline, cortisol, epinephrine, norepinephrine, all of those get hormone sensitive lipase going which allows fat to be burned.
But what about coffee and caffeine?
Well, it makes your body able to tap into fat resources a lot easier.
My personal favorite benefit of coffee during fasting is that coffee actually surprises my appetite almost completely and thus helping me to burn fat even further.
I wake up in the morning and in about an hour or two I have a cup of coffee.
In a few hours after that I have my second cup of plain black coffee and boom, I fasted for 20 -22 hours with ease.
